Commissions

I'll be happy to paint you from photographs, although I reserve the right to decline if you are unable to supply anything suitable to work from.  Photographs should be as large, clear and well-lit as possible.  It may be possible to arrange sittings should these prove necessary, although if I have to travel, I will have to add the cost to my final invoice.

I'll want you to discuss your wishes in some detail, particularly if you want a portrait.  This is not because I am too unimaginative to think for myself; it's because you as the customer will have to live with the finished results.  What I will want to know is how you see yourself.  Be as daring as you like; I'm absolutely unshockable.  As for the background, do feel free to let your imagination run riot. If you want to appear standing in a bucket of custard waving a skunk by the tail, sitting peaceably in a park, or soaring through the spirit worlds of your own private heavens, that's fine by me (and probably preferable to standing in a bucket of custard waving .......)  

As far as price goes, this will obviously depend on what you want, and how big and detailed you want it.  As a rule of thumb, a half-length portrait of one person against a background based on a single colour, on canvas size about 22 inches by 16, will cost £500 plus shipping costs.

And yes, I WILL give your order priority over my "fantasy"  work.

Oh, and remember - as I use acrylic paint, the results will be just as good as oil, but you won't have to wait an extra six months for the stuff to dry.

Terms

All works are supplied UNFRAMED.  This is because a frame is an inherent part of the finished work.  Customers will have a better idea than I of what they want to live with, and they will know where the picture's to be hung.

Finished works will be dispatched just as soon as your money reaches my paypal account.

I can offer free delivery within a hundred mile radius of Luton, England; other customers will regrettably have to bear the costs of shipping.
